TaeKwonDo CrossStitch by JealaTriumph TaeKwonDo CrossStitch by JealaTriumph
This was my first cross-stitch project I did after years of not cross-stitching anything. This means, it was my first project after not doing anything since I was about five.

This says 'Tae Kwon Do' in Korean Hangul. I've been a student of the martial art since 2006, and I'm currently a high-red-belt. Unfortunately I was injured and work has been keeping me busy so I haven't been at the doj for a few months, but I plan on getting my black belt some day.

And uh. . . I can't remember what count this was done on, hahaha. It was done at least two years ago!

I certainly can appreciate the idea of firsts. But even before considering that, I really like this piece. I think it looks really neat. I think you have quite a talent there. You should keep it up. :) And I do hope you get your black belt some day too, my friend. My Ukrainian friend had a black belt in karate if I am not mistaken. I do know she had her own school a while ago. Maybe I will ask her if she ever learned any other martial arts.

I really like the style of this. Maybe I should take a class in calligraphy. I do enjoy writing by hand. ;) Keep making awesome artwork of your own kind. It is nonetheless cool to look at, I assure you.

I will be honest. All the black SUCKED. But yep. This was my first one. I love it. Thank you! I don't think I'll be quitting any time soon, thank God. I think I love it too much. Or I am just too obsessed too much. Tell me about it. D: I really hope I get that thing soon. I wanted to get it this year - well, my brown belt. But I don't think that would happen. Not with work.

Thank you, again. You should try it out! If you could find a class, definitely try it!

Hahaha. xD Nah... Not TKD. I don't have the fancy footwork for something like that. I am not all that fast or flexible. However,... I have considered more recently pursuing some form of martial arts or weapon training that is more to my style. A friend of mine from high school apparently became quite proficient with a bow staff and really good with a sword as well. I think if I took bow staff, I might get a better grasp of my surroundings out of necessity. That and I like stave. You know me. xD Hahaha. But maybe a martial art that is more focused around strong stances, considering my HUGE feet. I also have excellent hearing. I could likely do better in a sparring match if I DIDN'T use my eyes but my ears instead.

But anyway... ;) I am glad you found something to be passionate about. I am regaining my passion for story telling as well. It is all about telling a tale and getting across a message for me. I can do this in poetry or prose. I would like to apply this to theater just to see what it is like for once. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity in time. Until then, back to the pen and page. :)

I didn't mean martial arts, I meant calligraphy, since you said you would like to take a class in it. Sorry about not being specific! D:
