Dark Mark Cross Stitch by JealaTriumph Dark Mark Cross Stitch by JealaTriumph
It's the Dark Mark, Harry. His Mark.

I started on this project back when I was working on the Firefly Cross Stitch Bag, just as a traveling project to take to work with me. I hadn't touched it since then, and I finally got it done last night.

I wanted to do this even before I decided for sure on my own Dark Mark, and I really love how this came out. I used Oatmeal Aida, and I like how the skull looks like a bone-colour, as opposed to pasty-white (like my own arm?). I wanted to add colour, but decided against it because . . . well, I didn't really know which greens to use.

This pattern was not my own. I bought it off of Etsy, Link below. I did make a few adjustments to the skull part, because it was not symmetrical, and that bothered the crap out of me.

Aaand. I don't own the Dark Mark. Credits to J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros.

Don't you have a tattoo of this now as well? I am too Neutral Good for this sort of thing, but it does look very well done. Props to you, my friend. :)

Ahahah! I did this before my tattoo, to be honest. I wasn't sure back then if I was going to get my own Dark Mark, but hey. I don't regret either one!

Thank you!

You're welcome! If I were feeling really ambitious, and had the materials, I'd embroider some wizard robes with it, but use a matching thread so the effect would be really subtle. Or maybe like a coin purse. Again, this is awesome! Keep up the awesome work!

I really like that robe idea! It would be neat to see. Ahahah!

:hugs: I'll keep stitching as long as I have hands!

I haven't seen the original, but I like the symmetrical-ness of this skull on yours a lot.

Also, wow, I have never seen this done before! Good work.

Thanks! It wouldn't have been so bad, but the fact that the eyes were so close together and were completely different shapes drove me nuts.

Thank you so much for your kind words!

I'm so sorry for spreading this curse..
You can totally see the deatheater sewing group though. All sat in a circle.. Some are knitting...

It's creepy how obviously right this is.

I'll fix things as I stitch to make them right... even if it makes the actual picture a bit bulgy.. IT HAS TO FIT!!!

I did that with my Shinigami skull, it all had to be well rounded and fit! More then welcome lovey!!

If it's supposed to be roundish, IT SHOULD BE ROUNDISH.
